Well “transformers” not usually have exactly same propotions as humans. But yes i know what do you mean, and It has elbows. 
I will make those “normal” legs later, but just for fun, i made this version of it ! ^^

I have been making this scene for a long time and robot is ready and it is rigged too.
So what do you think?
The transformation was way too fast.
Also why did you stop rotating the camera? keep it rotating/panning and whatnot…make it more dynamic.
Well, any of transformers doesnt actually “transform” The car parts just disappear, so you have to cover some parts just placing the camera at such an angle that you cant see where all the car parts goes. thats why my camera didnt rotate more.
But yes it was too fast at the ending… Working on it! 
right, so you can do some close up shots on parts that are animatable, while hiding the ones off camera etc…
