Quoted for truth, its a fantastic model but a mediocre at best render.
Great model, Really great.
But your render doesn’t do it justice.
I can recommend two things;
Firstly, you can use the internal render engine you could get something really nice with a bit of tweaking.
Secondly, try out LuxRender, I say this because it’s a lot easier to get better looking renders out of things like this than the internal.
i dont like the luxrender because of the tricky carpaint materials 
finally i found a setting, which looks okay, nut the best, but it works so far.
its late here si i only had 10 minutes time to render, here is your wanted luxrender

what has been said. I like much more the clay render than final. I think this can help in BI:
