Merry Christmas. This is truly a beautiful time of year. I am eternally thankful for Jesus and His sacrifice, my relationship with God, and the quality time I am able to spend with my family.
As we head into 2023, write down important goals you want to accomplish for next year. And do them! For me, I want to deepen my relationship with God, become a better pianist, and learn how to procedurally texture more efficiently, effectively, and realistically in Blender. I am excited to pursue digital animation in college, since being my own teacher can be challenge.
I’ve been swimming for my whole life. My sister and I swim every morning for exercise. Every January, there is always a spike of people who come to the pool to swim. If you ask these folks, many of them make a yearly goal to exercise. However, most give up; sometimes after the very first day. Therefore, try making a separate goal to stick with your goals. Hold yourself accountable. If it helps, find a buddy to exercise with! This way, you can help keep each other motivated.
This Christmas project took me about a month to finish. I was actually slowly working on the upright piano separately, during this last fall quarter to keep up my skills. During this amazing and relaxing break between quarters, I have been able to invest more time in Blender to make this Christmas project. I have been mainly inspired by Christmas Story and Holiday Inn.
If you are an animator, the Christmas tree was beyond easy to do. Blender has an incredible tree generator. For the Christmas lights, I used a Bezier curve, an array modifier, and a curve modifier for the small strand of Christmas lights I made.
Hope you all enjoy. This is an ongoing project. I am planning of working on this more next year.
So, feel free to give me some feedback!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everybody.
