Mesh Button Items

Hi All,

I am new to Blender family and am in the learning process.

While the Tutorials refer to buttons named " Subsur " and " Subdiv ", I am not getting these buttons under Mesh Button groups though " Auto Smooth " Button is there.

Can some one throw light as to how to get these buttons initialised ?

You can find subdividing in w/subdivide.
