Meshes Colliding??

Using this shared model of an animated book would someone help me understand what is shaping the turning pages? It appears to me that the pages/meshes are overlapping. When I place textures on them, it doesn’t look right.

I’ve tried to use the offset in the shrinkwrap modifiers, but get the sequences all screwed up. Using “keep above surface” makes it worse.

I would just like to turn the pages without them “bleeding into one another” during the process. Appreciate any help - exasperated!

Finally got the job done by adjusting offsets, but there must have been an easier/more efficient way!?
