Hi folks!
Recently I promised a friend to create some props for him to use in Poser.
During experiments I found something strange about Blenders Wavefront OBJ export.
The model I created was made up of five independant meshes. I disabled “double sided” for alll meshes and checked with “draw normals” that they all pointed the right way.
Then I exported the model to OBJ and imported it into Poser.
Some of the meshes had the their normals inverted, so I kind of look “inside” them.
I imported the same OBJ file into Wings, to make sure it wasn’t an error in Poser. The normals were messed as well.
Even a re-import in Blender from the OBJ file showed the same inverted normals on some meshes.
I could probably flip those and export again to fix, but I don’t think it’s the right way.
Anyone got any idea what might be wrong here? I can provide the blend file in case it helps.
Bye!
Axel
