Mirror over the origin point

For some reason when I mirror using {Ctrl + M} the bones simply flip where they are instead of flipping over the origin point. I have the origin point at {0,0,0} in case that makes a difference. I don’t believe it did this.

Bones each have their own internal origin underneath the armature origin. This is why most tutorials that want to do this set the cursor to the armature origin and then mirror over using the cursor as the pivot. You can set the cursor as the pivot next to where you change the viewport display mode.

Through which options?
