Mirror reflections are bugged?

Hello. I am trying to create mirror in Eevee. Watched few tutorials and can’t get it work right. I’ve added plane, created material with 0 roughness and 100% metallic, enabled screen space reflections in render settings. And I get some kind of bugged object reflections. Also it’s seems like adding reflection plane is doing nothing - hiding\unhiding it doesn’t change anything. Here is screen what I got. I am using blender 3.3.

Any help is appreciated. And peace to all!

Reflection planes are fiddly. They need to be just above the mesh surface to work, they only work in rendered mode, and sometimes they just glitch out. Try tweaking the location and see if you can get something to show up. It looks like you are in rendered view, but that also looks like the default viewport hdri, so I’m not sure what’s going on there. All the other settings in your screenshot look good to me though. if you share a file I can take a closer look.

Thank you very much for help.
It seems like it was the problem. Once I switched to rendered view, moved reflection plane a bit forward and I got nice reflections of icosphere:

Also it works in material view but only if I switch scene lights on.

Thanks again for helping, mate.

Here is blend file:

Mirror.blend (114.2 KB)

I am not new to blender, but sometimes I feel helpless fighting it!

Your reflection plane object isn’t enabled in renders. Click the camera like icon next to it in the outliner to enable that.

Thank you. I feel so dumb now.

Not dumb. I’ll bet all Blender folks miss some detail often. I know I do.

Finally I’ve got good looking mirror. I have one more question about topic. Is there a way to disable lights in mirror reflections? I mean I don’t want light objects visible in mirror…
