Mirroring by keeping the same distance

i wanna mirror this ball in Y axis …mid point should be the Z axis ,also want to keep the same "y"distance from the Z axis when mirroring …how can i do it sharply ? thanx


One of many ways is Shift+D to duplicate your sphere. In the transform properties box (N) add a ‘-’ in front of its LocY value.


Mirroring happens from the object center - you know, that odd ugly circle in the middle of your model. Get that on the 0 Z-axis and it should mirror like you want it.

To do so: press Shift+C to place the Cursor at 0, 0, 0. Go to Editing F(9) -> Mesh and press Center Cursor.
