Missing NetRender engine?

OK, I feel like a massive noob with this one, but…

I’ve just made my first foray into the world of 2.5, and wanted to try out the NetRender stuff. Unfortunately I’m falling at the first hurdle - I don’t have NetRender in my list of available render engines - just Blender Render and Blender Game.

Do I need to do something special to enable the NetRender engine? I can’t see anything relevant in the Docs.

BTW, I’m using Blender 2.58a on Linux64, if that helps.

Steve.

In the File / User Preferences / Addons panel under the Render option select the ‘Render:Network Render’ tickbox. It should then show up as an option at the top of the blender window. Press Ctrl+U to set this to be available whenever you start blender.

Aha! Thanks very much. And a whole new world of fiddling opens up…

I’d be very interested to hear if you get it working (and how easily!)…
