Hi all, this was my entry for the character Contest entirely done in blender, Render with Blender internal.
My first real Project, what do you think about it?

I think it is a very nice model.
Design and the render of the material reminds me of
the covenants of halo that I love very much.
the effects of halo of lights are very well done

Dude,dude,dude. Your model is awesome. My personal oppinion is that it is more original and cool than the actual winner.
However, I think you didnt win because to me the body of the character seems to be the weakest link in the model. Seems somehow plastic and undone. The ‘armour’ looks absolutely incredible and the overall design of the model is something I havent seen til now.

For the halo effect in the light i’ve used a glare node with fog glow in the compositor,
for the body you are right, I was too focused in the armor part
