Hello all,
I am going to college next fall so i am going to be getting a laptop. My question is how do the mobile GPUs compare with the desktop ones? I noticed that the mobile 680s have about a minute longer render time than the desktop ones.

I knows the 570/580s are faster for desktop but is this the same for mobile? I was also looking for laptops with a 570m or 580m but I am having no such luck. All I can find seems to be in the 600 series. Is there anyone still selling the 570m or 580m in a laptop?

They are going to be substantially slower across the board. They all have fewer CUDA cores (if any) and many lack GDDR5 memory. Unless you’re going very high end on a laptop, don’t expect stellar GPU render times for Cycles compared to the CPU.
