Modeling a bale of hay (Particle way)

Hello everyone! Here I am again with a trivial question :sunglasses:

I want to create the straw of a hay bale in low poly. I thought about using a series of plans above the basic model with the particle tool. I have problems inserting them as in the image below …

I tried every way to insert the plans as in the image but I did not find a solution. Do you have an idea on how to do it? Tutorial? tip?

Under my model …

Thanks in advance for any help

Thanks @yogyog for reply and link!!

I already have a good smattering of particle, but let’s see if I can take a cue from this video

After viewing the tuto in t he link, unfortunately I did not find what I was looking for :frowning:
Any other advice or help?

Thanks!

“Okay, so maybe that bale of hay is wrapped in some kind of a cloth.” Quickly decide for yourself just how important that bale of hay is going to be … how much time you should spend on it to get “return on investment” without passing “the point of diminishing returns.” In some cases you can grab a photo of a bale of hay, slap it (even) on a billboard, stick it out there and no one will ever know. (Is the lead actor going to be sitting on that bale?)

Thanks for reply

I’m creating a first level on a farm. The bales of hay are stacked to feed the animals. Now, they’re not important, but I wanted to make them better. For now I decided to make them come true in a Yuta painting (I still have many objects to create), but I would like to solve the problem frankly. I’ve been looking for a suitable solution for two days, but I think that Particle is good way!!!

Here a test of bales hay:
