Hello together, it’s been a while since I asked for support to model a pinecone.
I try to 3d print a pinecone with concrete and want to model an object similar to the one shown in the photo.
How can I start with geometry nodes to create something like that.
I can model the base shape, but I’m at loss at creating the dimples and scales.
Any help would be nice.
P.S. Scales like in this video are not feasable in 3d concrete printing.
Thank you very much
Quick go using dual mesh.
But I think I would probably try to model one section and array around a cricle…
Maybe easier than using geonodes for this, although you could. This is just one approach, another maybe instancing.
Hope that helps.

Thank you this looks promising. What are you using as a base mesh?
An ico sphere I proportonally scaled with 2 subdivisions…
Hi, another option maybe? needs some tweaking.
Or pineapple tutorials?
