Modelling clothing?

Is it a better practice to model clothing as a seperate object or as part of the same mesh? Will I run into trouble come time to animate? I’m using the models in the bge as well, so any heads up on that would be appreciated.

If the model is always going to wear the same clothes, make them part of the charachter and make no body inside the clothes.
If you’re planning to make a model with multiple outfits, make a naked base charachter, duplicate it for each outfit and delete any geometry that is hidden by the clothes to prevent intersection
If you’re making an animation where your charachter takes off clothes, prepare to do a lot of work to prevent intersection (good rigging combined with some cloth simulation might do the trick)
