modelling for animation: statistics

It would be a good idea to make a thread that lists “statistics” for requirements for making an animation.

Please feel free to share your experience in this thread :slight_smile:

The kind of information that could be interesting (but not only limited to these examples) would be:

  • what is the poli count for models used for full-shot human(oid) character in realistic versus toon shaded style
  • what is the typical poli count for a single frame [before layering/nodes/editing/other postpro]
  • what tools do you use besides blender [sound editing: Ardour/Logic/Nuendo? video editing? 2D effects? etc]
  • typical team size of your animation projects
  • link to your work :smiley:
