modelling leather furniture

Hi:
I´m trying to model somo chairs, but i have very bad results with “seams” (excuse me english)
this is that i want to model, i´m trying with a cube and subsurf, what´s the best method for do that seam?¿?¿

Thanks

Those upholstery piping detail is generally created from curve duplicated from furniture detail. Here is rough detail of furniture detail. Create the mesh pattern in such a way so that you have piping detail center line as an edge with loops on both sides. [Alt] select the piping edge. [Shift][D] to duplicate the edge loop. [P] to separate it to an object. Now convert this edge loop in to curve; [Alt][C] and select “Curve from mesh”. This curve can be made into a tube by setting its object data.

Finally, to make piping imbedded youneed to pull in piping center line into the furniture a little andmove the piping around to fit it.

thanks, i think this is a good way for a lot of objects.
