Modelling organic shapes

Hey there, just a question on how i should get started on modelling the centre black console section of this car interior, I am fairly new to this stuff. unfortunately this is the only pic i have of it.

Well, I would try modeling it via boxmodeling, first building up, the basic shape an then I would step by step ad details.

I’d start by box modeling the section, then add a subsurf modifier for roundness, you can also select the edges and crease them for more control.

If you’re doing organic modeling then you must learn how to use subsurf.
