I work in Blender less then a year, before that I used 3ds max… So the question is: is there any way to make linked modifiers between objects without using scripts? For example I have three objects with Subsurf applied — can I do so that changing parameters of one of them would affect others (like Mesh or IPO data can be used by different objects)?
The question appeared because in the Outliner view Modifiers look like the same datablock as Mesh, for example.
Blender does not support instancing of modifiers. Not even at the code level. The best you can do is write a script that synchronizes multiple modifiers so they act as one.
