What does it make this community look like when this guy posts upskirt shots of random women in public? Do you know how much hell that would raise in a place like CGtalk? He’d be banned before you could even blink. Probably forever.
It isn’t 3D. It makes us look terrible. It detracts from the community. Could get plenty of the underage kids into trouble with their not-so-compromisable parents. While most people on this forum really don’t give two shits what “the big guy” thinks about it, there are plenty who do. Christianity is one of the most widespread religions out there, and you have to be careful when you’re stepping on the toes of those who practice it, regardless of whether you agree with them or not. It’s an undeniable influence.

I almost don’t believe you. As long as it was tasteful (which really shouldn’t be a factor in the display of art, to be honest), I would think that everyone would be able to acknowledge the fact that it is artistic nudity.

It’s a simple fact that if beliefs were being respected, this topic and others like it wouldn’t exist.
It’s clear now why religion and politics were banned here. All discussion seems to veer in the direction of validating one’s own beliefs rather than trying to understand the beliefs of another.
I expect more from artists. But that’s just me throwing out my belief.

In all fairness, I’m not referring to softcore pornography, and never was. If it isn’t art related, then it has no place at this forum or at CGtalk. I suspect in that regard, we are in agreement. I should also point out that there is nothing stopping anyone posting random upskirts of women in public now, apart from the fact that he would get an immediate ban. In principle, I totally agree with you. In practice, not so much. When I feel that my artistic freedoms are being governed by someone elses moral codes, then it’s my toes that are being trodden on, not the other way around. If I was to post some of the 3d work I have done, there would be an uproar, trust me on that. Not because it’s is inherently pornographic, but because certain aspects of this and every community are terrified of the sight of human genitalia. It’s weird, quite frankly. To give them any leeway is to give them power, and that’s not something I’m willing to do.

Orical should know better than to make inappropriate threads and posts. Read up on the rules, and try to be more mature around here before your image is permanatly stained…
