Motion Tracking Noob Problem

Youtube Tutorial: A Beginner’s Guide to Camera Tracking in Blender 4.0 - Jacob Zirkle I watched this many times and tried with the same footage and I got good output but I wonder;

  1. what are the keyframes A and B for?
  2. in this footage with the straight street, it tracks the first frame, last frame, and the center frame(back and forth) therefore you track three times SO IF YOU CLICK THE BUTTON CLEAN TRACKS TO SELECT TRACKS YOU WANT TO DELETE, IT RANDOMLY SELECT TO ALL THAT THREE TRACKS?
  3. Following up on question number 2: If it is randomly selected from all tracks, what if the footage you will motion track shows walking on a street with winding paths?

if I have wrong terms, grammar, or what pls forgive me :wink:

  1. I don’t know exactly about this question. If it’s a question about trekking in the normal direction and then tracking in the reverse direction?

Method for detecting trekking errors.

  1. CLEAN TRACKS is to detect and delete errors within a set range.

  2. I think we can do it the same way, but we can’t handle long hours of video (it takes a lot of memory and there are too many errors)

About the first question;
image

  1. set range where?

  2. Oh, let’s say L Street Path if your viewport is cleaning the first street path then it will also clean the second street path? Does Blender know what to clean in the second path? but I think that’s not how it works i still wonder about this method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ui0JUHE12k8&t=315s if the street is L

  1. A and B are considered to specify the most stable range (corresponding frame) of the mark to be used for Solve.

※ Keyframe A/B Description in the Manual
Start (A) and End (B) frame of the range used for reconstruction.

  1. The question in this part is not well understood. :thinking:
    For more information, see the manual at the link below.
    https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/movie_clip/tracking/index.html

I understand that this feature finds and removes errors in that range from the full marker.

※ The method of video is to try random trekking. It may not always be the same result.

Thanks, I understand now the Keyframe A/B, for Solve Camera Motion (but idk how it processes maybe I’ll learn it soon)

In 3rd question, here’s an illustration for L Path;

Here, I’m confused about how tracking works here especially when you start to Solve Camera Motion

Unfortunately, Blender’s Motion Tracking is not very good. I don’t know if I can handle this kind of movement.

How to think about it now

  1. Try the method you are currently working on

  2. Correct errors using Addon (basic)

dasa

If the video is suitable for motion tracking, the results will be good, but if it is not, it may be difficult.

There is a lecture in the link I attached where you can learn the functions necessary for Motion Tracking.
