Move the object with the lower vertex at Z = 0

I tried to use “Snap during transform” (to find the Z of bottom vertex), but the plane falls through the object.

Hmm, or how to see a bounding box around an object in Blender 2.8?

You can create a plane, move the body on Z axis to snap the plane. Then set origin of the body to 3D cursor. qw1.zip (1.2 MB)

You can enable it here if you want:

Works! I wonder why I tried to raise the plane, and not vice versa? And why doesn’t the plane stay on heels?

Respectfully!

P.S. Tell me how to make animated gifs?

Object snaps to closest vertex by default. You can change the behaviour here:

I use GifCam software.
