my newest project:
I don’t like the mouth, looking what i can do to make it better. Early WIP! Didn’t have time to do a real backround yet.

I really like the look of the eyes… they have a neat drooping “weary-of-life” look that is accentuated quite nicely by the cigarette (or joint depending on if the ball likes to party) hanging from his mouth…
I’d like to see what you end up doing with this.

“weary-of-life” ??? or high on weed? he he he! just kidding! nice!!! very good! 
are you going to do a net on the rim? if so let me know how you do it, I tried modeling a net and it drove me crazy becuase it slopes on about all axis’s and I could never get it right.

And use Calc Alpha, Use Alpha in the texture-settings and switch on alpha in the material settings.
