My Free Rigs - Blender 2.63 (and older)

In the load dialog, uncheck ‘Load UI’

sweet. thanks for that.

I know this is probably a simple question but how do I bend the fingers of the mancandy rig for 2.53? I noticed the square fk bones and the hand shaped ik curve but neither of them bend the fingers, as far as I can tell. what am I missing?

scale the finger bones

Fantastic gifts !

Thx a lot waylow.

hello waylow, i was lookin at your rig, i like 'em. but how do you create the little menus on the side like visibility, rig properties, and rig layers?

Thanks a lot.

@snowcovered

there is a python script in all the files that runs the UI
it is based on the sintel rig UI
you are welcome to pull it apart to figure out what it does - this is how I figured it out
but the Python API is currently changing so this script will not work with the next official release of blender - I will update them when it is released (and I figure out what the changes are)

there is also some useful information on this thread
http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=164765

i like it 'em one question tho howd you create the little menus on the side like the visibility, and the two rigging menus in your horse rig?

thank you, sorry for posting the same thing twice, i didn’t mean to do that

Just to say your rigs are fantastic thanks a lot for sharing them!

Hi everyone,

I just updated the 2 camera rigs - a Dolly and a Crane
they are both inside the same file
Dolly is on layer 1 and the Crane is on layer 2

they are grouped and ready to be appended but make sure you also append the python file that runs the UI

all the controls are in the UI
but they are now in 3 collapsable tabs

here is a video demo on how they work:

and here are the files: (they are also attached)
