Hi!

So I have gotten a little further with my human head model. It’s just that now I have ended up having another problem…

How come she is dark blue around her mouth? Bad lighting? Something I have done wrong when modeling? Something else?

You have reversed normals on those faces.
In edit mode select all and hit Ctrl+N to fix them.

It looks like you may also have doubles. select all in edit mode and click on the remove doubles button in the tool bar
