My rendition of that one bathroom from Silent Hill 4

Hi! I’m new here so I hope this works as expected. I’m currently creating courseware for an intro to Blender class that will be taught at XP Facultad de Videojuegos, a game dev school in Monterrey Mexico. The idea is to learn Blender by creating an environment while getting the hang of look dev and using some things like volumetrics, light probes and reflection maps to achieve the desired look. I will probably release the scene when I’m done as well, and upload to youtube. In the meantime, here are two screenshots from my viewport. I’m currently using a computer running an AMD 2700x with 16gb ram, a 512 GB SSD and an RTX 2070 card. I’ve yet to figure out how to use raytracing for GI and reflections in Blender so we’ll see about that. Also some of the textures were made using Substance Painter while I figured out exactly how to achieve the same effect using Blender nodes. Blender Texture Paint did in fact play a key role for the final texture details as it allowed me to create more grunge and smears and dirt. I did run into a problem with one of the normal maps but it stands as a good enough exercise.
