my staff

well I just started this while fooling around and came up with this.I am going to change the texture. What do you think.

Only problem I’m having is making the grips for the staff.

working on the joan of ark tutorial right now mabe I will make her holding it.

im almost done with the body. then I will retexture the staff.

I just have one question. how do i take an object from another file and add it into the one I have open?

or in other words how do I get joan into the file with the staff?

Shift + F1. This is called appending, if you are confused about it, there is a tutorial at blender.org under miscellaneous. Hope that helps!

and does the staff look to big compared to the body.

The staff is to thick, but the length is ok.

I made bones for joan.

why is it doing this when I move it in pose mode it also renders it like this

I used the new method of making bones with 2.40
see the parts of the hands dragging.

See if there is anything funky looking in weight paint mode, or just go into edit mode for the mesh, and select each vertex group for the bones one by one and hit the ‘select’ button to see if there are any selections way away from the bones (like in your instance maybe some of the hand is selected on the arm vertex group)
