This is my very first blender creation, a sportswatch.
I do not have any past experience with 3D modeling, so it might not be amazing, but it’s certainly a start.

For a first time with no experience I would say good job there. Next thing to learn would be textures in cycles and it would make this stand out even more. Maybe some more detail in the face of the watch (hands and such) But seriously if this is a first time I applaud you. I couldn’t even make a cube when I first started using Blender and it is default on the screen at startup
Thanks!
This is the watch that it was modeled after.
Yes. Really impressive for a first experience.
Did you follow a tutorial ?
Maybe you need to recalculate normals of the main part of your watch. (Select object -> Select all [Key A] -> Ctrl+N)
And did you use Array and Curve modifiers for the wristwatch ?
Yes, I watched a few hours worth of tutorials on youtube.
This watch was initially meant for export into and use in the video game Fallout 4, but I have no idea how to get this watch into that game.
There appears to be 2 good tutorials on getting blender models into fallout 4 on youtube by: TroublingMink59
But you will have to reduce your polygons before putting your model into any game.
Basically you will have to “bake” your high polygon model onto a low polygon replica.
It is possible. But not easy. Good luck and don’t give up…
Very nice watch by the way. If that’s your first attempt. I’d say you are a natural.
Thanks.
The super-high polygon count of this mesh would probably crash the game or cause severe performance issues.
Is there any way to reduce the polygon count of this watch to a point where it wouldn’t cause any issues?
