As an independent artist, I’m currently creating a series of uplifting short animations that aim to inspire positivity and promote valuable life lessons. Each episode involves the viewer meeting with Serenity Lockhart, a seductive lady who shares her thoughts and musings in each episode.

Project Overview:

  • Episodes: Season 1 = 50 episodes.
  • Animation Scope: Each animator will animate 10 shorts featuring Serenity Lockhart. These shorts primarily depict her engaged in everyday activities such as mixing tea, eating cookies, and similar mundane tasks.
  • Limited Animation: The animation does not involve changing locations, complex motions, walk-cycles, special effects, or fast-paced actions, the pricing has been adjusted accordingly to match this low-level of work.
  • Assets: All 50 episodes are fully scripted and voice-recorded. Serenity Lockhart’s 3D model has been meticulously rigged and includes jiggle physics for natural movement dynamics.
  • Short Duration: Approximately 3-4 minutes per short.
  • Payment: $100 USD x 10 shorts. (While we are open to fair negotiations, we cannot accept offers significantly higher than the current rate we have listed.)
  • Potential for Additional Episodes: Depending on how many qualified animators are brought on, potential animators may get more ASoS episodes to work on, but each one will receive extra compensation.

Animator Responsibilities:

-Animating Serenity Lockhart’s meticulous movements and the camera shots as she interacts with various props in her environment.
-Crafting additional smaller models as needed, such as tea pouring out of a teapot.
-Collaborating with the creator Kryssen and fellow animators.

Animation Style:

The animation focuses on capturing Serenity’s seductive allure and sexually suggestive behavior in movement, with attention to details like jiggle physics.

Qualifications:

-Proficiency in Blender 3D animation software.
-Experience in character animation and familiarity with rigging and physics simulations.
-Ability to work efficiently within a team and meet deadlines.

Good one. Got a solid chuckle out of me. As funny as this is, you should update it to your actual rate, don’t you think? Unless “minutes” was a typo and you meant “ seconds?”

Hello, thank you for your response. Each short animation will last approximately 180-240 seconds (3-4 minutes). Please refer to the included animatic for a comprehensive example of each short.

Compensation: $100 USD for 10 shorts ($10 per short).

Given that the animation does not involve changing locations, complex motions, walk-cycles, special effects, or fast-paced actions, the pricing has been adjusted accordingly. No.

But maybe it leads to a fair baseline we can introduce in ‘paid’ jobs that values people’s time and skills, instead of racing prices to the bottom like our favourite freelancing gig sites. @joseph?

This post has so many examples why you really need to rethink your sales pitch.

Skilled and fast animator is able to deliver around 10 seconds of animation a day. So he/she would need 24 days to deliver one short. That means his/her fee would be around 5 cents per one hour of work.

damn. I think you’re being too generous here. for $10 per short, each short taking oh, about 3-4 hours for lip-sync alone, (if I’m being optimistic), that’s an entire $2.50 per hour. for that amazing price you should consider asking for more features like additional VFX, maybe an explosion or two, and of course, the entire fictional country of Mordor in the background! (everything is better with Mordor in the background.)

I’m going to close this post. This isn’t paid work, this is asking for immense amounts of labor for pocket change. This category is for real job offers only, not whatever this is
