Can anyone or someone PLEASE help me create hair for my models. I plan to use them for a film of mine & need them ready ASAP. I tried myself, but they’re all failed attempts.
Could you describe your problem more?
Looking at these images, I have some things to say.
1-You probably need to look at reference images. Hair doesn’t simply go backwards like that. It will usually radiate from a central point, or have a parting line running across the middle of the head. Maybe try to re-create a real haircut or at the very least, be aware that hair has different directions on different parts of the head.
2-It may be easier to create the different directions of the hair if you were to use multiple particle systems for the different parts. Like in this tutorial.
3-The children particles system may be complicated to learn, but it has all kinds of options for curls and roughness, which add lots of realism to the hair.
4-You might want to increase the number of steps, both in the “viewport display” and the “render” tabs of the particle system. Try using 5 for both as a starting point. It will make the hair smoother and will allow fine curls, if you decide to add them in the children options.
The deflect emitter in the last image, is going through the hair. In the first set when I rig the model, the hair looks all weird, and not like the second image.
It looks like you might want to turn your steps up a bit from the angular look of the strands.
Also, how do I fix the hair when the particle system disappears when I want to preview it in render view? Do I need to convert it to a mesh?
