Need help on low poly character weight painting

I just got into rigging for my character model,
and I don’t know how to weight paint rigs at all

here’s how it looks:


yeah its bad, everything keeps deforming in the wrong place and things keeps snapping out of place, disconnecting and breaking

If anyone can help me understand what I’m doing wrong or how to improve, I would greatly appreciate it
