Need help with facial retopology with intention to animating the character

Does it at least look smooth in Blender? If it doesnt, maybe you could split all edges by accident. It is unlikely, but I dont have any other guesses

Yeah, it does get smooth in Blender. I’m just wondering if my topology is too sub-par for the baking…

Topology is definitely a non-factor here. You can bake even triangle soup made by Decimate modifier, if there are non-overlapping UV coordinates

I see. Well, I’ll investigate further and hopefully make a positive change.

Finally, I reached a solution thanks to you guys, @DeckardX08 and @joseph. While I smoothed the normals of the low poly, I forgot to the same for the high poly, which is why I got quite pixelated results no matter how I adjusted my baker. Now, I’m off to reduce the polycount of the lowpoly by following the recommended video of Joseph.

I don’t know who said it but he was right - the Blender community is very nice and friendly. A pleasure to be around
