Need help with fill of mesh

Hello Together,

this is my first thread here.

I´m currently creating a race track.
Does anyone know a good and quick way to create the infield surface?
A normal Fill creates a huge Ngon which is not good of course.
Grid Fill is also difficult, i think because the outline is to complex
I wanna add elevation to the surface afterwards.

Is there a way with geometry nodes to have a nice surface of quads in between?
Like an automation kinda thing?

Attached a pic to show the “track” that needs a infield.

Regards and thanks in advance
Daniel

Hello,
thanks a lot for quick answer.
I will try to recreate your nodes.
Thanks a lot!
Cheers Dan

Another question, the fill looks good on your picture.
One thing that came to my mind wothout trying yet is, that i see that the vertices of the tracks edges are not connected to the vertices of the outline of the fill.
How could i do that?
Apart from that the fill itself looks very good!!

merge by distance may give you the results you want…

For best results make sure these numbers divide well.

Wow, that was quick.
I will try and give feedback.
Huge Thank You!!
