Need unwrapping tip

Hi everyone! Im on beginner level in blender and stuck on unwrappig the gun handle. What is the best way to unwrap mesh like that ? Is there is a way to apply texture like that on the whole mesh or i have to rebuild the handle to something simpler?

Here is an idea:

The pieces are partially hidden inside the rest of the gun. You could use this to your advantage and delete the sections that aren’t visible. Then, it would be possible to unwrap the whole piece without seams.

The original didn’t have enough polygons to delete the hidden geometry, so I gave it 1 level of subdivision and applied it so I had more polygons to work with.

You could either do this, or rework the unsubdivided model so it has edge loops in the right places. If your model is a high detail, subdivided asset, don’t worry too much about the polygon count, the resolution you see in my images is still well acceptable, it’s just a bit harder to edit the shape for the artist.
