Here’s a technique that is very useful to animate plants and explosive debris… it was used in the making of Jurassic Park 3, when the Raptors ran through the plants and they moved with their bodies.
What is done is you create the plant, and then attach it to a particle. When that particle interacts with another object (using particle dynamics) it draws the plant along with it.
Does anyone know if this type of technique (parenting things to particles) is applicable in Blender? I’m not certain if Blender has such particle dynamics that it could react to a surface…
