Very very nice initiative
Thank You
there is another light set up to increase the contrast in a small scene for showing small objects
with 2 lamps one bluish and the other one brownish
anybody remember how this is set up ?
Thanks
Awesome! I’ll add those to the plugin!
are theses the same then the other ones given before?
happy 2.5
Currently the plugin supports 2 setups:
- 3 point spot
- 3 point area
These 2 new ones, which I will try to add this afternoon are:
- Daylight
- Simple Studio
from
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:2.4/Books/Essential_Blender/11.1.Lighting:_Hands_on
key light E = 2 in front of scene / R =G = 0.6 B = 1 Light blue
Fill Lamp on side E = 0.6 / R G = 1.0 and B = 0.6 Light Yellowish
Back Light E = 5 White light
but as i said need to add some way to change energie function of the scene
but all lamp have energie level which are realted to each other / proprotionel
but as i said there is another on with 2 lamps one was a sun lamp of i remember well
one lamp bluish the other one brownish to increase the contrast
anybody remember this set up don’t remember where i have this file !
happy 2.5
how was going with this script, any other news?
sorry i had to work on other things
but it’s noving well and i was sort of waiting to get the 2 other new setup
are theses made ?
did not see any new vesion yet or i miss it !LOL
let me know i’ll get back on this sript should be easy to add the functions to do it !
thanks and happy 2.6
This would be nice for basic lighting, but if you want to see more serious use like for indoor scenes with BI, you should try to get the script to where you can automatically create a fake GI setup utilizing various bounce lights based on area-lights.
I could see that being used a lot, particulary for complex scenes where convincing fake GI can be tricky to set up.
one problem i see also is locations of lamps function of the scene and lamps energy
so if anybody has an idea how to evaluate theses it may be possible to integrate this with some calculations!

Sorry, I’ve been neglecting this thread… I’m currently been real busy studying for a new certification… And the site keeps going down…
I’ll try to post a update this coming Thursday…
Ricky you inbox is full, so I could not reply to your private message… But I will try to answer your questions this weekend after my cert test.
sorry did not have any warning on that PM box !
but i cleaned it up so should be able to use it now !
and it’s been difficult to use the forum last week !
Thanks happy 2.5
i’m not sure if you are aware of this…
think : http://www.luxology.com/store/SLIK/
i’m wondering, those kind of setups look real cool.
interesting
but modo has IES lamps which we don’t have yet in Blender but hope they include soon
with real IES lamps it would allow to calculate precise illumination in the scene and determine lamps power
unless there is another way of calculating this in blender right now !
otherwise we can do only approximate light set up
i almost have done the new script with panel Tool pro with 4 light set up should load up very soon
then we can talk of it more!
happy 2.5
