Create a 3 point lighting setup automatically with a single click using my first ever blender addon for Blender 2.55
Lighting setup is taken directly form the tutorial found here…
Install the addon and go to System:A 3 Point Lighting Setup to enable it…
You will see new options in your add menu…
well, some ideas (i bet you have it too) are to add different light setups, studio lighting (three or four area lights), car studio lighting, exterior lighting (sun + hemi)…
i’ll try it ASAP!.
Thanks!
in case the add-on is only featuring the ability to add 3 spot lights
then I feel this add-on has no value.
I know this is very alpha - but it seems a concept is missing here.
Maybe you enhance it with adding a pop-up interface which would give
users more options to select from.
For example lamp types, light strength, color, indoor, out door,
light positions …
More lighting setups are being planned for future updates. Right now my addon is a working proof of concept… Also there is a popup interface, you can access it with the add menu popup… SHIFT+A
I defiantly have plans to add more setups, you wouldn’t be able to hook me up with some blend files for some some of the setups you talked about here would you? Or at least point me in the right direction? The tutorial I’m using only give two examples done buy blender masters.
well the cool part about an add-on is that it eliminates the need for demo files
since in the script you can just define different combinations as options to choose
from and Blender builds it.
Maybe you can also supply this way some standard scene designs as well ( in scale )
I welcome you to contribute to my code zeffii, my only condition is that you must credit me as well as yourself in the author section under plugin info.
it would be nice to add a too pro panel to set up the light intensity on the msster lamp in front let say
and the other would adjust in functiion of this master lamp
cause it depends on the dimensions of the scene also!
and also may be include the color of the lamps!
by the way you forgot to set a color for each lamp and did not see it in this tut ?
This looks good as a very basic script but I can imagine it growing into the Standard Lighting Setups that other people are talking about, with more advanced options to play with each standard to change it as you see fit. I’m looking forward to seeing the development of this script.
