I written a stand alone renderer somewhat similar to Super3boy’s, but is written in Java so it “should” work on most platforms. I have it working in Windows fine, and have had it working in Ubuntu Jaunty at least once. One thing that I feel sets this apart from other renderers out there is that you now have access to all the rendering formats found inside Blender, EXR for example. Please let me know what you all think and any bugs you find. I will be working to evolve this into a full renderfarm application so please send some feedback.
