Can’t get VLC media player to play tutoral lesson. :Z [!]
Which tutorial are you trying to play? If it doesn’t work most of the time the right codec is not installed.
I have the same problem but I can’t play any video, just here sound.
I recomend the K-Lite Codec Pack. (if you using Windows).

With it you shoud be able to Play almost everything.
I have installed it it doesn’t work.
What kind of tutorial is it then (.avi, .mpg, .mov …)?
Do you have a Link to it so i can give it a try?
No movie works for me, I can only hear the sound but no image.
