New user : Grouping vertices.

Hi all,
I have a shape created, by altering a cube. I added a few more vertices by splitting aen edge. I want to know, is it possible to group a few of vertices. So, that when I want to select list of vertices, instead of selecting individual vertices, I select them by specifying the group name and move only them.

Yes, In the edit buttons - Link and Materials panel the is a section for vertex groups. Create a new group (the “new” button) select some verts and assign them to the group.
