New ZBrush Book

I’m happy to announce that my new book, “ZBrush 4 Sculpting for Games: Beginners Guide” has just been released.

The book is written for beginners in the field of game modeling who are already familiar with the basics of 3D. The book covers organic as well as the new hard surface tools like ShadowBox by the example of four models. (One is based on a basemesh done in blender … at least something :D)

More information and a sample chapter can be found at:

There is a special offer until end of march with a 20% discount.

I hope this is helpful

Why do you post this here when most people and this forum do blender?
Nice book btw

To be fair, it is in the off-topic forum.

even though it is 100% fair to post anything here why would you though because this just makes you seem like a spam bot. You a degrading yourself

Blender has a Game Engine? A lot of Blender users use ZBrush?

This sort of marketing I don’t mind, the subject may not be primarily Blender based but I’ve personally learnt a lot about modelling and sculpting techniques from tutorials and books centred around other software.

@accessoire
Yes blender has a game engine although its bad. Who ever said that many people how do blender do zBrush?

Larmannjan it’s only bad if you don’t know how to use it.

The guy is advertising his book, it’s related to the subjects discussed on this forum. So leave the thread alone and the let the mod’s decide if it can stay or not.

EDIT: Congratulations on getting the book done, I shall have a look at it. I have a few Zbrush books lying around, I’m not a Zbrush user. Could never get my head around the interface, but I have learnt a lot from reading books about the software, things that I can use when using Blenders sculpting tools.

Hi Guys,
sorry for getting back so late.
@larmannjan, thanks. I posted it here, because I personally use Blender in combination with ZBrush and I also used it for doing the lowpoly version of a model in the book. As accessoire pointed out, I think ZBrush is a good complimentary piece of software if you have something like blender at hand.(although blender has sculpting, too)
@Daniel8488 Thanks for the kind words, I also think that we can learn a lot from tutorials on other software, because the principles are most of the time the same.

Larmannjam…again…

Zbrush is a tool that MANY Blender users also use. It is relevant in MANY ways. And as was said earlier, it applies to everyone anyway because there is many skills that can be transfered program-to-program. For example I have a shelf full of AutoCAD books. I don’t have autoCAD (Anymore). And I use them quite often to help me out in Blender. Personally I think this is something much more usefull to be hanging around the off-topic section than SOME PEOPLE complaining about the Moderators…

BTW, excellent book! I won’t be buying it myself, but I assure you that many people will

Fine I never said the opposite right?! Oh yeah btw I thoug I was on your ignore list weryb? I an glad that I no longer am
And also are you ever going to get over the moderator thong. Let people have their opines with judging them.
