Newbie here need feedback

Hello everyone. I need your feedbacks… I am very new to Blender. I tried to visualize some tables to list on my website as product photos. My renders don’t look realistic. I used an HDRI and a backdrop.

What do you think about those renders? Btw those are low quality for testing. How can I achieve more realism and what kind of mistakes you observe on the images? Thank you so much for your feedbacks.

Btw these are the real images for reference

try throwing a good hdri on there for lighting, turn off all other lights, get rid of the floor, and see if it makes it better. This should give better reflections which count for a lot. There is some post things to do as well, fine tuning of the materials, but the hdri should be first.

They don’t look that bad. The thing with furniture products is that photographs often look like renders. Product photos are mostly edited to remove all imperfections…

You could try working more with materials looking at reference. The wood textures seem to be washed out and lacking detail or contrast in the renders. Trying different HDRI images for lighting could be a big deal. Also you could try adding subtle detail in the forms like have a look at how imperfect it is:

It’s all a mess  .

I mean… you probably don’t want to go too realistic and you certainly don’t want to exaggerate imperfections in the case of product renders, but it’s still possible to add some subtle variation.

Also have a look at high end manufacturer product photos. Use lens shift, make the perspective lines straight like in architecture photographs and renders. This also helps interior designers to put your products in their moodboards and what not. Speaking of which… Share your 3d models and textures in highest quality possible on your website for free and without registration if you want to help interior designers who might sell your products. It pays off. They will want to come back.
