Hello-
I have been attempting to do a tutorial of modeling a car. When I create the different background images for each view and attempt to create geometry to those views, my geometry isn’t parallel to the image, but perpendicular. In other words, if I draw a circle, I don’t see the circle, I see the side which of course looks like a straight line. Any ideas?!! BTW, I’m using 2.56. Thank you for your time.
make sure the tools panel is open (press T in the viewport)
then click “align to view”

I appreciate the fast reply! I however cannot find the align view in the tools panel. Is it possible that it could be hiding somewhere else? Maybe I’m adding my background images wrong?
Got it figured out- you must create the geometry, then you can check to align to view. Thanks Waylow!
