Newbie Questions

Hello.

I have a couple of questions about some aspects of Blender:

  1. When I rendered a simulation of just rigid body objects falling from the sky which then bounce on a floor I tried rendering about ten frames but nothing moved. How do I make physics active when rendering?
  2. I have seen a couple of videos on YouTube where the camera moves to different locations. How do I make the camera move to different spots on certain frame.
  3. When creating a fluid simulation how do I make the fluids act a lot more slippery rather than act like rubber?
  4. When I create an Inflow with the fluids, the fluid comes out of the inflow constantly through the entire simulation. How do I make the inflow only go for a certain amount of frames?

I have looked at some tutorials and the Blender wiki and I could not find any answers for these questions.

Cheers

Edit: Added in another question.

  1. You have to use the game engine. Set up all your objects, and click Game>Record Game Physics to IPO. The press P to enter the game engine. When you are done, there should be an IPO of the falling.
  2. To insert a keyframe, press I then a menu item. Notice that if you start with say Loc, then the next keyframe you do LocRot, the first will be messed up. In blender, almost anything can be animated. Just select the camera, I>LocRot, then move up 10 or 20 frames (Up arrow), move it and rotate it, then press I>LocRot again. Press Alt A to playback your animations.
  3. Very good overview of the fluid simulator:

a nice reference for the fluid simulator:

  4. I don’t think you can.

Thanks for the help

The PKBlender site is really going to help.
