This time i wanted to create the Nintendo Snes cartridge, i think it turned out good!! let me know what you think!!
That’s really cool!
I wish it was Donkey Kong though
Would you share some of those textures? I want to do one myself now
Great work man!
This is so cool! I love how it looks like found treasure at a yard sale or something. Great sense of nostalgia!
With that spacey background and the sweet rimlight you have going on, I’d LOVE to see Star Fox.
The “battle damage” in particular just looks so good. The scratches and label rips. I like that a lot. Did you hand paint those?
Fun! I like the project. I remember them being more boxy though and less round. Is this like a later version of the cartridge or a famicom version?
Which textures are you talking about? The majority of them are procedural ( i also painted a mask to make the yellow part appear only in some spots), the only downloaded textures are the scratches and fingerprint from poliigon!
I hand painted te “mask” to make the yellowish dirt appear only in some spots, the rest is procedural/noise, i only used scratches and fingerprints textures from poliigon. For the label i took a picture of the actual label!
It’s more rounded and soft because it’s the pal version of the cartridge, the us version is more “boxy”!
Best console ever?
It’s a difficult question!
I would say the virtual boy!
Man I remember the ads for that in the magazines! I never got to play it though. All red right?
Yeah, it’s the red vintage “oculus rift” i know these consoles because I’m into videogames and the history that’s behind but i actually grew up playing the Nintendo DS lite, I’m 21, but I’m passionate about retro gaming, especially when we talk about Nintendo!
The original NES was retro for me. I had a couple friends that had it because they were a little older but I never really was curious about it because the SNES seemed so much better. I can get the nostalgia for the square controls (but in reality they were kind of painful) and the graphics were just barely good enough on the NES to give you the immersive experience.
I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!
