Nintendo Wii

Here is my model of the Nintendo Wii and my first post on Blender Artists. I’m a newbie to Blender and thought I’d model something simple.

I want to make the blue light look more like a light with a glow effect. I’ve managed to get the effect in Photoshop but have no idea how to do it in Blender.

Any help? Please bear in mind that I am still new to Blender. Comments and criticisms welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to BA. The model looks great.
As for the glow, you can use Halo particles see the wiki: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Manual/Halos

Or you can use composting nodes, see the wiki: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Tutorials/Glow_composition_nodes

Thanks for the help. Seems to work well with Halo particles.

for glows Ive always used the Amb, under Shaders i think. If you put that t full it comes out with a simple glow, add emit at it glows much better.

I use it because when rendering with Yafray Halo’s refuse to show up for me.

Definitely use an emit value on the material there. Don’t forget to enable radiosity rendering (But skip on using the radiosity collection tool for now…)

Looks rather good.
