No sound! Help please!

Ok, i fixed it:o. But did it ever take a long time:eek:.

I’m not sure if this is the right forum, but…I have no sound at the moment. In the device manager there is a yellow question mark beside “multimedia audio controller”. I can’t find the driver on cd or the internet, and I’ve been looking for quite a while. The dell driver reset tool has no effect. Does anybody know what I should do??:frowning: Thanks;).

My quick specs are:

Windows XP SP2
Dell dimension 3000

I guess that’s all you need to know.

Looking at Dell’s site, the only audio driver found for the Dimension 3000 is this one.

Okay, then…download and install the chipset driver, restart and try to install the audio driver again. I recommend you set a restore point before doing all this (sorry if I’m again suggesting something you’ve tried).
