Node Editor Glitch/Bug... Does Anyone Else Have This Issue?

I work on a MacBook Pro (Santa Rosa 2.2) with OS X 10.4.11 and have noticed that the “previews” in the node editor have weird lines and visual glitches. See the images below:

and
. Note the static in the viewer and comp nodes. This occurs with both 2.44 and 2.45. It occurs with ANY node setup I try and even after reseting user defaults in blender (I have tried turning th backdrop on and off). I have even gone as far as trying to run blender from a clean install of OS X on an external hard drive. Has anyone else noticed this or is there something wrong with my system? It is pretty annoying. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I have the same issue, even with builds I’ve compiled on my comp.

I’m not sure what causes it, and I haven’t submitted a bug report, so you may want to.

Looks like a bug in opengl driver for your platform. you can submit it to bug tracker.

since you’re saying it’s likely a bug in the driver, should i submit to apple or blender?

@forTe, what configuration are you using to run blender on?

There was discussion about the problems with sculpt mode on Macs a while back. I think the bug ultimately got reported to Blender, but it may have gone to Apple as well. Submitting it to Blender is probably going to get somebody to at least research it faster than submitting it Apple, but whether anything will be done is a little more in question.

My config is just the same. MacBook Pro, 2.2 Ghz, OSX 10.4.11, etc.
