Noise texture control - size of islands and gap between?

Hi, I’ve been playing with noise textures but am wondering if anyone knows how to achieve control over both the size of noise islands, and also the space in between separately.

Noise texture + ramp:

Ideally I’d like to be able to increase the size of both the white bits, and the black gaps between them, independently.

Meaning I could have tiny dots that are really spread out, or really densely populated tiny dots, and so on.

I’m not sure it’s possible but I thought I’d ask. Thank you.

i guess you mean this: red = crossfade, green = random

Most likely you need musgrave texture in ‘hetero terrain’ mode.
It has parameter ‘offset’ to control ‘islands’ independently from noisiness.
