Noob: Can't find my camera

I’m following Blender Guru’s Blender Beginner tutorial, and my camera disappeared. When I turn on camera mode, I don’t see a frame like in the tutorial. This is what I see when I press the camera button:

This is what his looks like:

Did I mess up my camera or something?

I’m using Blender 3.0.0 for Ubuntu 20.04.

Thank you so much!

EDIT: I posted the wrong screenshot, and changed to the correct one. I also showed a screenshot of the tutorial and changed my wording.

Your camera is in the collection with the name “collection” as you can see by the camera icon listed in the outliner. In the top left corner of your 3dview you see “user orthographic” there should stand something with camera instead, so its not turned on.
The active camera can be set in the Scene Properties below the outliner. (icon with the cone and sphere)

Hi! If pressing the Camera button changes the view, the camera should still be somewhere. Have you tried enabling all the collections in the outliner? Perhaps is inside “Collection” or “Archive”.

If it is not anywhere to be found, chances are an object took over, in that case you’ll need to create a new one.

Thank you for pointing that out. I posted the wrong screenshot, so I changed the picture and updated the post.

It looks like I have a camera, but it’s still not showing me the frame like in the tutorial. I added a link to a screenshot of the tutorial. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

Well that happens if you use “lock camera to view” after you have zoomed in. Try to
deactivate it in the right panel and zoom out with the mousewheel while you are in the camera perspective view. The frame will show up again.
